Shift Reminders
The shift reminder feature allows Team Xpress to put a reminder message on your phone or in the Windows notification area, to let you know that you have an upcoming shift.
With this release you can set two reminders before an upcoming shift begins. Also you can now have a reminder at the end of the shift that you are currently checked in to.
If you have already checked into a shift then you will not get reminders to check in. If you have already checked out of a shift then you will not get the reminder to check out.
Previously the reminder system would work only on the mobile app. Now it works with a desktop browser, too. The reminders are shown in the Windows or iOS notification center. Google Chrome and Firefox are supported.
- In Team Xpress, go to My Account .
- Then go to Preferences and then Shift Reminders.
- Enter your choices, and then press Save.
Reminder settings
For upcoming shifts you have choices such as '15 minutes before start', '30 minutes before start', '1 hour before start', 2 hours, 1 day, 2 days, etc.
For shift end you have choices such as 'At end of shift', '2 mins before end', '5 mins before end', etc as well as '5 mins after end' and '10 mins after end'.
Sliders don't change
There was a bug where you could slide one of the actions such as Start Break, End Break or Check Out, and the slider would remain on the screen as if it had not been done. This is fixed.
Self Scheduling
Previously the number of shifts that could be self scheduled at one time was limited to 5. This is no longer the case.
Date and Time selection
A number of issues related to entering dates and times have been resolved. They are now easier to type and enter into the forms.
Self Scheduling grouping and sorting
It is now possible to configure Self Scheduling so that shifts are grouped in a sequence other that by date. For example, you can put all the shifts for a specific customer or service together to make it easier to select them at the same time. This is useful for education clients who need to put all the parts of a course together regardless of the dates of the parts.
Geofencing
Team Xpress requires that the mobile device identify its location accurately. There were instances where Team Xpress reported "could not retrieve your device accuracy" when this was not actually the case. This is corrected.
Note that device "accuracy" relates to the reliability or trustworthiness of the location that the device is reporting, not the location itself, Of course there will still be legitimate cases where the device cannot determine its location due to environmental issues. E.g. in a building.
