Audit of changes to shifts

Schedule Xpress includes a report to review changes made to shift data. This answers the questions "who changed this shift", "when was a shift deleted", etc.

The Audit Schedule Changes report is available to users who have Administrator capability.

Step 1

To access the report select the Reports button on the left edge of the Schedule Xpress window. Then select Audit Schedule Changes at the top of the page.

Step 2

Select the parameters to identify the shifts to be reported.

  1. When were the changes made. These timestamps are very precise, and must be entered in exactly the format shown in the picture. yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ss.sss. Year, month, day, hours, minutes, seconds, thousandths of a second.
  2. Who made the changes. Use asterisk to indicate anybody.
  3. Which fields are to be considered for determining if the shift changed.If a field is not listed, then even if the field changed the shift will not be included in the report. There are three selectors below the list: All, None and Inverse.
  4. Which actions are to be included in the report. The shift was Created, Updated and/or Deleted. There are three selectors below the list: All, None and Inverse.
  5. The dates of the shifts. This is not the same as when the change took place (item 1 above).
  6. Filters to limit the shifts to specific Employee, Customer, etc.

Step 3

Press Apply to start the report.

The Audit Report

(1) The report can be saved to a number of different formats.E.g., Excel, PDF.

(2) When reviewing the details in real time, press the refresh button to re-run the report without re-entering parameters.

Shift changes are shown in reverse chronological sequence, in a block of records related to that shift.

(3) The oldest action is at the bottom of the block.

(4) Subsequent actions work their way up the block.

(5) The most recent action is at the top of the block.
