This release note provides information on the latest posting of Celayix's industry leading eTime Xpress software application and related Web Xpress and Voice Xpress plug-ins.

Caution: eTime Xpress and its plug-ins Web Xpress and Voice Xpress can be downloaded independently of each other. To prevent version conflict errors, all components are required to be updated at the same time.

1. Product Family Compatibility


The following product versions are compatible:

  • eTime Xpress version 7.8.0
  • Web Xpress version 4.8.0
  • Voice Xpress version 5.4.0


Note: If upgrading from eTime Xpress version 7.006.000 and older, eTime Xpress version 7.8.0 requires an upgrade to both the Progress client(s) and database to OpenEdge 10.2b.

The latest version of the Celayix software suite is designed to support the following
Microsoft Windows 32-Bit and 64-Bit platforms:

3. New eTime Xpress 7.8.0 Features


The following is a list of new features found in this eTime Xpress release:

Administration

Log Manager allows users with administrator access to review system log records created after this version upgrade. By default, the system will store log records for up to 2 years prior to overwriting. Administrators may also delete log records from the database and export them to a log file external to the database. (2764)

Alerts notice window supports display of Time Off Request alert types. (2712)

Branch Codes
Import/Export

Data exchange extended to add import and export support for branch codes under Codes Maintenance.

Bill Rates

Branch Combination Bill Rates in the Company/Branch module consolidates all combination bill rates in a branch for easy management. Combination bill rates allow users to define explicit or wild card values for Employee, Customer, Site and Service associated with a bill rate record. (2828, 2845)
Users can:

  • Add/Update/Delete combination rates;
  • Filter what rates apply to a specific combination of Employee, Customer, Site and Service values.

Employee/Site Bill Rates in the Employee Module has been renamed Employee Combination Bill Rates to reflect the additional option of wild carding the Customer, Site and Service fields associated with a bill rate. (2818)

Employee Combination Bill Rates (previously Employee/Site Bill Rates) in the Employee Module supports the definition of bill rates where Customer and Site may be defined as a wild card. Wild card is defined by specifying an ID of '0' when creating bill rate records. (2761)

Site/Employee Bill Rates in the Customer module has been renamed Site Combination Bill Rates to reflect the additional option of wild carding the Employee and Service field associated with a bill rate. (2818)

Device Record Import supports file path lookup for Import TraxG file option. (2563)

User Security

If an individual has been issued multiple user logon accounts, those user logon accounts may be displayed as a grouped so that the individual can easily switch between user logon accounts. The system uses the email address field in the user account to determine which user accounts belong to the same individual. This function requires configuration by Celayix support prior to being enabled. (2623)

Visual Scheduler

Multi-Shift Availability tool added to shift toolbox that automates the process of finding a single employee that can be assigned to a group of shifts. An employee must be able work all selected shifts. (2416, 2733, 2920, 2921, 2923, 2924, 2926)

To grandfather clients requiring the full site name to be displayed in the report body, a system parameter can be set. This system parameter is updated by Celayix support by request on a client by client basis. (2739, 2815)

Billing and Payroll summary reports when generated with the 'All' shift status display shift indicators and counts by not worked, worked and locked shifts. (2969)

Availability and autofill feature allowing users to save setting combinations and filters to an XML file for fast loading did not write changes to the XML file after the first run. Users would have to exit the availability or autofill window to save their filter settings. (2650)
