Overview

These release notes provide information on the latest version of Celayix's industry leading eTime Xpress software and its related Web Xpress, Web Xpress Mobile app and other available modules.
Version
These notes are for version 8.0.0 released in November 2016. They cover the changes made since version 7.9.9 was released in July 2016.
Functions and Modules
eTime Xpress is available in many different configurations. These release notes may describe features that you have not configured or do not have access to.
Note that custom enhancements that were made for specific clients may not be shown in this document.
Reference numbers
The descriptions may include Celayix internal reference numbers E.g. ET-1234, 4567. You may refer to these if you have questions about the features and changes.










New and Updated Features

eTime Xpress

Schedule Change Acknowledgment, aka Schedule Tracking and Notification Feature

  • This new feature permits eTime Xpress system administrators to notify employees of changes to their schedules automatically. The administrator selects key shift related fields to be used for tracking purposes, and when changed will subsequently generate email notifications to employees advising them of the changes.

Prevent employees from checking out of a shift outside of a defined time boundary

  • When enabled, this new feature will limit the time range an employee can check out of a shift. For example, the employee can check out only within 5 minutes before or after the scheduled end time. The time range will be relative to the scheduled end time of a shift and replicates the existing time ranges that can be placed on the check-in process, which was introduced in the previous release of eTime Xpress.

Voice Xpress button has been renamed to Voice Xpress/eClock

  • The button indicates more clearly that Voice Xpress and eClock functionality are configured in the same area within eTime.


Remove Short Name Uniqueness

  • eTime Xpress no longers requires that the 8-character short name of employees, customers or sites be unique. This can assist administrators who had difficulty with the uniqueness requirement.

iCalendar - publish shifts up to 18 months in the future

  • The optional iCalendar module can now publish shifts up to 18 months in the future. Previously the employee could view only 12 months of shifts in their Outlook/Google/Apple calendar.

Restore/Un-archive employees without restrictions

  • The eTime Xpress administrator can now restore (unarchive) any archived employee at any time. In the past an employee could not be restored within the first 30 days after being archived. This waiting period is no longer required.


Web Xpress

Add Alert Email Address and Alert SMS fields to User Profile in Web Xpress and Team Xpress

  • These fields will be viewable to users in the Contact Management view
  • Note that the Alert SMS field is used only when the optional SMS capability has been licensed

Team Xpress – New product

Team Xpress is a new employee portal allowing employees to view schedules and manage their profile depending on company preferences. It is available as an app for iOS and Android, as well as being accessible from a web browser.

ET-181  Fixed an issue where the event time was being imported incorrectly when the eTime application was being run and hosted off different servers.
ET-199 Fixed an issue where mobile users could not sign into the WebX mobile app.
