Overview

These release notes provide information on the latest features added to Celayix’s industry leading scheduling and time & attendance software.

Version

These notes are for version 8.0.14, released in July 2019. The notes cover the changes made since version 8.0.11 was released in April 2019.

Functions and Modules

Celayix products and modules are available in many different configurations. These release notes may describe features that you have not configured or do not have access to.

Reference numbers

The descriptions may include Celayix internal reference numbers. For example, ET-1234. You may refer to these if you have questions about the features and changes.

New and Updated Features

Schedule Xpress

Shift Tasks

NEW: Tasks are like to-do lists that are attached to shifts. The individual tasks, organized into lists, are configured in Schedule Xpress. They are attached to shifts during the creation of the shifts. The tasks are retained in shift templates, and are included when the template is applied.

Examples of tasks: lock the doors, change the linens, set up the buffet table. Example of a task list: check all the doors, review the log book, turn off the lights, lock the doors.

Team Xpress

Shift Tasks

NEW: Employees can see the tasks that have been added to shifts. The employee can mark tasks as being completed, and the employee can add more tasks to their shifts.

Task Reporting

NEW: Employees can add incident reports, record information about work performed, and upload files and photos related to the shift.

Signature Capture

NEW: Employees now have the ability to capture a client’s signature, generally to confirm that work has been performed. Notes can be added to the signature.

Performance upgrades

UPDATED: Self scheduling speed has been improved. Employees should experience shorter wait times when searching for shifts.

New version of the app

UPDATED: Employees must update the app to the latest version. Go to Apple App Store or Android Google Play and check for updates. If it does not offer the update then search for Celayix Team Xpress and install the latest version.

Geofencing changes

UPDATED: Geofencing is the feature where Team Xpress ensures that the employee is at the designated work location in order to Check-In, Check-Out, record their Breaks, and record Safety Checks. If they are not at the location then they cannot perform these actions. eTime requires that the geo coordinates (latitude and longitude) be entered into the system.

The method of setting the coordinates has changed in this release.

Customers and Sites now have a new field dedicated to the geo coordinates on the Contacts tab. Until now, the geo coordinates were entered in a reference field on the References tab. As part of the upgrade, all the reference coordinates were copied to the new, dedicated field. The reference field is no longer used; you can reuse it for any other purpose.

(Note that in your system, customer and site may have different labels; for example, client and location, or venue and event.)

Change your procedures and workflows to reflect that when adding and updating sites, your must enter the geo coordinates on the Contacts tab, not on the References tab.

The size of the "fence" is still configured in the ClockTrack area of Voice Xpress/eClock.

If you like, you can remove all the geo coordinates from the reference field by doing an export-import, leaving the reference field blank. If you need assistance with this then contact Celayix Support.

General

One login page for all applications

NEW: There is now a single web page that consolidates the logins for all the components of the Celayix suite. Go to https://www.celayix.com/celayix-log-in for shortcuts to Schedule Xpress, Team Xpress, Time Xpress, eTime Xpress and Team Xpress Administration.

Numerous changes have been made “under the hood” in preparation for upcoming features and capabilities. Stay tuned!

Bug Fixes

Schedule Xpress

When you log in to Schedule Xpress after logging out, Schedule Xpress remembers the date range that you last used. In version 8.0.11 it would sometimes revert back to showing a single day instead of the recent date range.

eTime Xpress

QuickBooks billing export can include customer:job.
